Current state and problem
The company used the original paper form of invoicing until mid-2010. The entire process of issuing and sending paper invoices meant 4 hours of unproductive administration per day for the company for 20 days each month.
Issuing invoices was not only laborious but also expensive. Schneider Electric estimated the total average cost of issuing and sending one paper invoice at 27 CZK. Archiving paper invoices in a 20 square meter archive room was also a problem. Physically searching for the required invoice in the archive often required considerable effort and time.
Proposed solution
The initial situation led Schneider Electric to implement electronic invoicing, for which they chose GRiT as their supplier, which had already been providing Schneider Electric with reliable EDI communication services for a long time. Extending electronic invoicing to customers who do not use EDI was therefore the next logical step.
The ORiON solution allows you to send invoices in electronic form and ensures direct exchange of electronic invoices with the company's economic system.
Resulting changes
“Electronic invoicing not only means significant savings on issuing invoices and postage, but also represents a huge saving in labor, fewer worries about archiving and easier document retrieval. Thanks to electronic invoicing, we save almost 10 man-days of work per month on issuing paper invoices. The reactions of our customers are also very positive.“
