IPRICE RECARE completes orders 15x faster. Thanks to LOKiA WMS

Current state and problem

Interest in outlet goods has skyrocketed during the Covid-19 pandemic, and it was important for IPRICE RECARE to find a solution that would allow them to reliably meet the growing demand. They ship 500-600 orders daily, up to 2,500 in the season, and they already have over 60,000 different items in stock. Thousands more will be added to the system every month. It was therefore essential for IPRICE RECARE to find a WMS system that would understand so many types of goods and whose implementation would not disrupt the operation of the e-shop.

Searching for goods by memory, incorrect order picking, or lengthy training of part-time workers who took up to twenty minutes to pick their first orders and had to be carefully checked during the first week. These were some of the most common problems that IPRICE RECARE employees faced in the warehouse. As demand grew, they realized that they could no longer function without a warehouse system.

Proposed solution

The launch of LOKiA WMS was just in time. Thanks to increasing demand, IPRICE RECARE decided to open a second warehouse, the implementation of which went smoothly and without the need to interrupt the operation of the warehouse or e-shop. Thanks to LOKiA WMS, they can also divide their orders not only according to where the goods are stored, but also according to whether they are to be distributed to the Czech Republic or Slovakia. In addition, employees of the product department or customer support also have access to the entire system, who thus have up-to-date information about the location of the goods and can enter information about them in the e-shop admin themselves.

Resulting changes

  • IPRICE RECARE handles the sorting of orders to the Czech Republic and Slovakia even before packaging.
  • Training temporary workers takes 30 minutes and they pick orders in 8-10 minutes on the first day.
  • Permanent employees pick an order within a minute and their error rate is almost zero.
  • We needed a system that would grow with us, as we add around 8,000 items to our inventory every month. Not every system allowed us to upload so many different types of goods, so LOKiA clearly excelled in this.
