Current state and problem
HP TRONIC Zlín worked with a high volume of documents that it exchanged with its suppliers every month, especially invoices, which amounted to up to 32 thousand per month.
Each of them took 1-2 minutes for employees, and manual processing and subsequent invoicing took up a lot of time. Therefore, the company began to look for a way to effectively save not only money but also employees' working time.
Proposed solution
HP TRONIC Zlín started using ORiON EDI as a supplier in 2008. At that time, the company was active in wholesale and supplied goods to major chains, which prompted it to implement the EDI system. Over time, it moved into retail and began using EDI communication as a customer. EDI was truly fully implemented in 2017, when the company took over electrical stores operated under the DATART brand.
Thanks to EDI, HP TRONIC Zlín employees have been relieved of a significant part of their routine work. The automation of invoice processing and posting has allowed accountants and billers to focus only on specific invoices, for which the procedure is always different. Thanks to this, their work has become more creative. The solution for electronic document exchange has also brought other positive aspects, such as faster mutual communication to confirm orders with suppliers.
Resulting changes
