INSDES (Instruction to despatch message)
The sender of the message informs the business partner (often a logistics service provider) who manages the ordered goods about the required pick-up and delivery of the goods to the final recipient according to the instructions provided. It can also be used to inform the supplier by the buyer about the request to send (deliver) previously ordered goods. The message allows sending instructions for the delivery of goods to multiple delivery locations within a single message.
It identifies goods, delivery locations, delivery dates, as well as other information about the parties involved or, for example, delivery conditions.
GTIN codes or pallet marking with the serial logistic unit code SSCC in the case of pallet deliveries are used to identify goods. GLN global location codes are used to identify the parties involved.
