Muziker has integrated its largest supplier into EDI, saving 80 working hours per month

Current state and problem

Muziker has been discussing the implementation of EDI for several years. They are trying to digitize and automate all processes that they consider repetitive. Therefore, they knew that implementing EDI was an inevitable step.

The turning point came in 2019, when their major supplier, Berlin Brands Group, requested the implementation. Thanks to this, Muziker came to the final decision to implement EDI communication. It was an unconventional situation, because usually it is the customer who is the first to implement EDI and then involves their suppliers in it.

Proposed solution

Due to the development of the e-shop, Muziker did not have the conditions ready for full EDI integration at the time, so it chose a simple solution ORiON webEDI, which is an accessible version of EDI with a web browser interface. In Muziker's case, it was a temporary solution until the technical conditions were prepared.

Muziker switched to full EDI integration in 2021 after completing and launching a new e-shop. They stayed with ORiON EDI , only converting the webEDI interface to a fully integrated solution connected to their information system.

After implementing EDI, Muziker, with the support of GRiT, started involving suppliers primarily from the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In two years, they involved a tenth of all their suppliers. Thanks to this, they process a fifth of the total number of invoices received via EDI .
