The speed of transmission is ensured by the fact that the individual counterparties are directly connected to each other, so data exchange takes place in real time (unlike e-mail, for example). Digital certificates are used to ensure security - each message is sent digitally signed and encrypted. Reliable transmission is then ensured by return notifications MDN (Message Disposition Notification), which carry information about the success of the transmission.
