ORDERS – Purchase Order

The customer sends a message to the supplier to order goods or services in the required quantity, along with any specification of the place and date of delivery.

Sending orders using EDI increases the speed and reliability of order delivery. Thanks to notifications, for example, it is almost immediately possible to find out whether the order has been delivered to the supplier's corporate system and whether their employee has processed it. This allows the customer to react quickly to possible technical errors or, for example, a shortage of goods on the supplier's side.

ORDERS is one of the most important messages for suppliers, for which it has many benefits. Anywhere with internet access ( including a smartphone ) they will learn about an incoming order, which they can immediately start processing. If they have EDI integrated into their system, they will save a significant amount of human work thanks to the automatic loading of order data, not to mention the absence of errors that occur during manual processing of documents.

In this case, the order is converted into a readable form and sent to the supplier by e-mail or fax.
