Dropshipping (also dropshipment) is a business model in which a seller (typically an e-shop) offers goods from their supplier or manufacturer. However, they do not purchase the goods for their warehouse, but rather pass the orders directly on to the supplier or manufacturer to deliver them to the customer. The seller then pays wholesale prices for the goods and earns on the difference between the wholesale and retail prices.
In the Czech Republic, even the largest e-shops such as Alza.cz or MALL.CZ are engaged in dropshipping. For example, Alza conditions cooperation with suppliers with EDI invoicing , thanks to which it is able to handle the increase in the volume of business documents without any administrative problems.
