GDSN – allows trading partners (suppliers and customers) to globally synchronize product master data. On the one hand, the customer needs this master data to list a new business item, on the other hand, thanks to GDSN, the supplier enters data for all registered customers at once, saving a lot of time browsing through large numbers of different cards and product portals of individual customers.
A supplier can enter the master data of their products into GDSN and publish it for a selected market, for example only the Czech Republic, or only for a specific customer. In the GDSN network, the data is stored in a standardized format and customers connected to GDSN can easily download the master data allowed by the supplier into their systems.
Thanks to standards in electronic data communication - EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), automated sharing of structured data between business partners in the form of agreed messages is possible. These messages can be exchanged directly between individual information systems, regardless of hardware and software equipment, directly or through an EDI service provider.
