TMS is a transport management system and is usually linked to the warehouse system and the order agenda of the ERP system. Based on their processing, it currently proposes optimal routes for deliveries to delivery points or cross-dock warehouses, including taking into account returns. Routes are proposed dynamically according to the capacity of the vehicle fleet so that costs are optimized and at the same time logistical requirements such as load limits, delivery times and other restrictions are met.
