IDOC (Intermediate document) is a native format of the SAP information system that can be used for export and import of business and logistics documents. This format can be automatically converted to other EDI formats that use the semantics of structured data according to the international EDI standard, such as UN/EDIFACT , XML EDI or other XML formats. It is therefore one of the entry gates of documents from the SAP ERP system into electronic data interchange (EDI) towards trading partners.
