Uni Hobby suppliers integrated in record time

8. January 2014

New Czech DIY store chain Uni Hobby streamlined their business processes. This was due to the introduction of electronic communication with their suppliers using ORION EDI from CCV Information Systems Company, which has become the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) services provider.

This dynamically expanding means of document exchange, however, found its place at Uni Hobby very quickly. In record time - in less than a month and a half – over 1000 suppliers have been integrated into EDI communication, with whom Uni Hobby exchanged over 7000 documents via the ORION consolidation centre.

Data transfer between the Uni Hobby chain and its suppliers has been launched on both of the most commonly used documents, types order (EDI ORDERS) and invoice (INVOIC). "Given that our range of goods includes nearly ninety thousand items of merchandise from hundreds of suppliers, maximum simplification and automatization of business documents exchange provides a great benefit. We therefore perceive the EDI as an effective means of business communication, which is fully in compliance with our planned future expansion," says Aleš Oulehla , Uni Hobby’s vice chairman of the board.
