EAN (European Article Number)

Since 2009, the International Article Number or Global Trade Item Number (GTIN).

Unified international identification number, especially of consumer products and other trade items, is often printed on the products in a form of a bar code. This code allows to streamline and speed up the entire sales and logistics process and is also used for identification of goods in the system of electronic data interchange (EDI). By using RFID reader, operations staff can, for example, find out all important information about packaging in a single click and then transfer the goods to the right place in the warehouse.

Effective management of warehouse using EAN codes is possible with help of the LOKiA WMS.
