Cloud Services Help Companies Get Through the State of Emergency

2. April 2020

2nd April 2020, Brno – According to current surveys, approximately one third of working Czechs are working from home as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Then there are companies that could, given the nature of their work, also make the switch to home office, but their local company systems do not allow it. It is primarily these companies that are now being offered help from the cloud service expert Grit, which offers a system for electronic approval of invoices free of charge as well as a warehouse management system for e-shops affected by the crisis.

Grit offers an important first aid to all companies that having increased difficulties with their invoice approval processes as a result of the quarantine. „The traditional way of approving invoices, when an assistent or accountant keeps chasing the approver with invoices, is now practically impossible. For this reason, we are offering a free tool that converts invoices to a digital environment. As such, employees are no longer obliged to commute to the office to approve invoices, but can také care of everything from the safety of their homes,” says Kateřina Líbalová, Product Manager of the Invoice Flow system, which automates the process of receiving and processing invoices. The free version is called Invoice Flow Lite and can be activated at schvalujzdomu.cz.

In the era of the pandemic, it is not just people working from home who are making use of cloud systems; they have also proven useful to warehouse workers, among others. And they, too, are now being extended a helping hand by Grit. „E-shops are dealing with a massive increase in demand and some are in the same situation as they were before Christmas. Warehouses are running late and, in addition, dealing with labor shortages as some of their employees have had to stay in quarantine or at home with their children. What we are actively offering to companies like these is our cloud warheouse management system, which automates receiving and dispatching of orders and increases the speed of order picking. For small businesses, the deployment will be complete in a couple of days, which means they will be saved from the unpleasant situation relatively early,“ says Tomáš Kormaňák, Product Manager of Lokia WMS.

According to Grit‘s Managing Director, cloud services are throwing a lifeline to a lot of companies. „The pandemic has revealed weaknesses of local systems and business owners have found out that the current situation can only be dealt with via distant access to company resources and information. Making use of the cloud technologies and services available is an excellent opporunity for change and, for many, also an existential necessity. Teams that are working remotely are gaining an advantage. We are retreating from the physical world into a digital one and companies need to adapt to this,” says Dalibor Damborský.
